Performance is defined by reliability & maximum ROI
ROBUST & RELIABLE
Strategically designed for strength and long-term reliability, the high density, low profile DuraTrack™ tracking system is simple and robust, certain to simplify the deployment process and reduce system lifetime costs.
SYSTEM DESIGN
The tracker structure contains PV modules mounted on a tracker support column framework aligned in a north-south row configuration. The tracker rotates PV modules about the horizontal axis in an east to west motion, following the sun throughout the day.
TRACKER OPERATION
Tracker range of motion is ±45° about the north-south horizontal axis. Backtracking (shade avoidance) is employed to eliminate shading and maximize production in the early morning and late afternoon.
DRIVE & CONTROL ARCHITECTURE
One A/C drive motor drives 350-650 kW of PV modules. Individual motor controllers are capable of operating independently, and a GPS-enabled central control unit collects individual controller data, and provides supervisory control.

Multiple DuraTrack tracker rows are connected by a rotary drive shaft and driven by a single industrial 1.5-3 HP, 3-phase A/C motor. The number of tracker rows is determined by system size and field layout requirements.
