Array Technologies Ships 24.8 MW System Apex, NV. site will serve North Las Vegas residents
Albuquerque, NM, 6/30/12 –
Array Technologies has commenced shipping its DuraTrack HZ™ system for a 24.8 MW site in North Las Vegas. Constructed and managed by EPC SunEdison, the project is owned by Southern Company and Turner Renewable Energy and the electricity generated will be sold to Nevada Power Company under a power-purchasing agreement.
Located on 154 acres north of Las Vegas, the DuraTrack HZ™ system was chosen for its ability to generate the most return on investment, as it maximizes land coverage while generating up to 25% more power than fixed-rack panels. With a design that maximizes performance and minimizes installation and material costs, Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ system ensures that the energy produced is cost-effective and provides a maximum return on investment for the lifetime of the system.
Under Nevada’s renewable portfolio standard, utilities must generate 25% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2025.
