125 MW DuraTrack™ HZ System at Arlington Valley Solar Energy II Complete
Arlington Valley, AZ project spans 1,160 acres
Albuquerque, NM – 11/21/13 – One of the largest solar projects in Arizona to date with a capacity of 125MWac (174MWdc), Arlington Valley Solar Energy II Facility is now complete. Array Technologies commissioned the DuraTrack™ HZ solar tracking system in August, and engineering procurement and construction company Fluor recently announced substantial completion. The energy generated at the site will be sold to San Diego Gas & Electric, a unit of Sempra Energy, under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).
Array Technologies’ DuraTrack™ HZ tracking system was chosen for the project due to its ability to generate 25% more power than traditional fixed-rack applications. Engineered for reliability and performance, the DuraTrack™ HZ system is designed with a minimization of materials to maximize the return on investment, offering the lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE) in the industry today.
With more than 1.7GW of product shipped and installed globally, Array Technologies is the market leader in the design and manufacturing of durable solar tracking and racking systems.
AVSE II spans 1,160 acres of land and is located approximately 40 miles west of Phoenix in Maricopa County.
