2.3 MW Now Operational in Rifle, Colorado

Wastewater facility and pond pump station complete

Albuquerque, NM – 1/13/09 – Array Technologies’ has announced the completion of two solar sites in Rifle, CO.—a 1.7 MW site at the Wastewater Treatment Facility as well as a 600 kW system that operates a roadside pumping station nearby. Utilizing Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ tracking system, both sites will help reduce operating costs and save taxpayer money by locking in a levelized rate of energy for the lifetime of the project.

Owned and operated by SunEdison, the energy generated will be sold to the City of Rifle at a levelized cost, which saves the facilities money over time as utility rates rise. Array Technologies’ DuraTrack HZ™ system generates up to 25% more energy than typical fixed rack applications, increasing the return on investment for the project while maximizing the available site land.

With an uncomplicated, innovative and streamlined design, the DuraTrack HZ™ system can be installed with ease on any terrain, and articulating drivelines conform to uneven site boundaries or undulating land without increasing installation costs.

Both sites will offset CO2 emissions equivalent to taking 680 cars off the road annually.
